Top 5 BEST Vegan Philly Cheesesteaks

Philly Cheesesteak is a sandwich made from thinly sliced beef (or Seitan for vegan versions!) and melted cheese on a hoagie roll. It was invented here in Philadelphia in the 1930s! While traveling through Philly, we had to try every Vegan Philly Cheesesteak we came in contact with and now I have the pleasure to show you my Top 5 picks!

Lauren's Top 5 favorite Vegan Philly Cheesesteaks:

1. @gooddogbar - This was my favorite while visiting Philly. The seitan was grilled to perfection and the cheese was so cheesy! The bread was soft yet crunchy and the fries were really good. This Philly Cheesesteak felt very upscale. Highly recommend!

2. @blackbirdpizza - This felt very much like a fast food grab n' go Philly Cheesesteak from a stand, and I loved that about it. It also was served with vegan cheese whiz, which I thought made it have a unique, yet delicious taste!

3. @tmoms@tmomstogo - This cheesesteak was served with provolone cheese, which gave it a different flavor, more like a french dip sandwich, which I really liked. Also I can't deny the fact that they had waffle fries, yum!

4. @batterandcrumbs - I found this Philly Cheesesteak to be really unique as it''s flavor was almost like a Thanksgiving dinner. It was very saucy and the bread was soft. I also love their breakfast sandwiches.

5. @HipCityVeg - This cheesesteak comes from a fast food chain and that is the vibe to this sandwich. It is also served with ketchup, which I think slightly over-powers the cheesesteak, so I would ask without. It was still tasty though!
