Sweet & Sour Stir Fry recipe

If you love Chinese food, and you miss sweet & sour chicken, look no further because this recipe is for YOU!!


1 block tofu, cubed

1 onion, diced

1 large carrot, chopped

1 bell pepper, chopped

1/2 head broccoli (optional)

1/2 cup pineapple chunks

2 cups cooked rice


1/2 cup pineapple juice (from can of pineapple chunks)

1/4 cup rice vinegar

1/4 cup tomato paste

3 TB soy sauce

2 TB maple syrup

2 garlic cloves, crushed

2 tsp cornstarch

1/2 tsp ground ginger


  1. Add cubed tofu with a little olive oil to a pan, cook until browned on most sides. Set aside in a bowl.

  2. Using same pan add onion and carrot, cook for about 4 minutes.

  3. Next add bell peppers, broccoli, and pineapple chunks. Cook for 1 more minute.

  4. Mix all the sauce ingredients together and add to the pan of veggies.

  5. Next add in the tofu. Simmer together for 3 minutes, until sauce thickens.

  6. Add some cooked rice to a bowl then top with sweet & sour stir fry. Garnish with green onions.
