How to Live in the Moment

We have two lives. The second begins when we realize we have only one. -Confucius⠀ ⠀ We can live, and then we can really live. I feel like my second life has just begun. It’s hard to wrap our head around this concept…we really only have one life. ⠀ ⠀ So, what do we want to do with it? ⠀ Do we want it to be like it is now? ⠀ Or do we want to change it?⠀ ⠀ I want to be happy. I have one life, and I want it to be a happy one. I am tired of continuously thinking bad thoughts and feelings. Reliving past regrets & moments that make me feel down. I am tired of continuously thinking about the future, what’s there for me, & why it could be exciting. ⠀ ⠀ I want to live now! I want to feel the moments that are happening right now. I want to feel what is here for me and why that is exciting! ⠀ ⠀ How I am working on it:⠀ -Slowing down. ⠀ -Feeling gratitude for even the smallest things.⠀ -Not allowing bad thoughts to stay in my mind.⠀ -Repeating positive affirmations about myself.⠀ -Reviewing what made me smile each day.⠀ -Being more open about my thoughts & feelings.⠀ -Not giving other people my power.⠀
